The Tony Keys Report -95 Points
Pure blackcurrant on the nose and very slender on the palate it’s a wine that needs attention, don’t give it and the beauty could be missed. Its elegant and demands concentration 95 points pushing price at $55, as I think it needs to garner some reputation first but I admire the boldness of, ‘going for it’
The Tony Keys Report -95 Points
Light on the nose and on entry, it sits very pert at the front of the palate but increases in intensity as it glides across the palate like a slender body swathed in silk 95 points and worth a try at $55”
The Wine Reviewer -92 Points
This wine was released to celebrate 70 years of winemaking of Highland Heritage in the Orange wine region, this is an ultra cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon with the fruit coming from the Borenore region of Orange at an elevation of 830 metres. A light red in the glass the holds true to its cool climate roots, the nose is elegant, refined and aromatic with lifted blackberry, tobacco and wood smoke. The palate gives a pristine array of dark berry fruits etched with gentle spice, an earthen aspect and flowing acidity. The finish is has cassis with lingering tobacco and black olive. This has the elegance to cellar for a considerable period. When to Drink Optimal Drinking 2017 – 2030 Date Reviewed 04 10, 2017
Huon Hooke 4th April 2017 -93 Points
Ranked #4 of 58 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon tasted from AustraliaDeepish red colour with a tint of purple, smelling fresh and young and slightly herbal, with some earthy plummy and blackberry notes. The wine is full-bodied and very firm in tannins. It’s a young and slightly straightforward wine that will evolve further. The violet notes are intense and strong on both nose and palate. It has the makings of a superb wine in a couple of years.
